Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American Canadian singer and songwriter. She has released more than 20 albums. Her music is categorized as folk, alternative and rock, but it also has hints from jazz and hip-hop. Ani Difranco is widely acknowledged as a pioneer of music that is feminist. In the year 1990, she was among the first to establish her own independent record label. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd, 1970. She was she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco, who had met while attending in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father had Italian roots and her mother was Montreal-born. Ani DiFranco composed and sang 32 Flavors. The song debuted in 1995 on the sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl. It was also featured on the soundtrack to the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. DiFranco apologized to host a seminar in Louisiana at an old slave plantation. The event was cancelled however, certain (including the media) didn't think it was a sign of regret. DiFranco released a second apology two days following the first. She is known for her Little Folksinger style, but she's worked with many music genres, including Pete Seeger to Chuck D. She is a resident of New Orleans. Ani DiFranco is with Kristen Ford. By 14 she was creating her own music. The songs she performed at coffee houses and bars in her teens. DiFranco completed her studies at her Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts high school in the year 16, and enrolled in the classes of Buffalo State College. Ani's custom Alvarez baritone came about after several meetings we held with Chrys Johnson, who was the representative of artist for Alvarez. Ani DiFranco is a Pop/Punk Singer-Songwriter. Her musical star popularity with critics and fans when she was 25 years old when she released Not A Pretty Girl, 1995. Dilate was even more famous in 1996. The song Brandy (You're a Fine Girl) is a 1972 song from the American pop band Looking Glass from their debut album Looking Glass.
