Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised by a mixed ethnic family. Her mother is English and her father Nigerian. She was raised on the southern part of London Council Estate. She attended The Brit School aged 14. She attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London which she graduated with an acting BA. While attending the school, she was a part-time actor in numerous stage productions, including The King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started acting in Storm Damage. She has since made appearances on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakthrough came in 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was co-starring Colin Farrell (who played the role of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. In the wake of that film's success, she played Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as appearing in the six episodes of Trexx as well as Flipside in the role of Ollie. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi part on the ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She appeared in both series 2 and 3. Madekwe was also a part of 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Theatre credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe's US debut was in 2009 with the dramatic The Beautiful Life. The drama aired for just two episodes before it was cancelled on The CW. Ashley Davenport, a character in ABC's Revenge drama, was chosen as Ashley Davenport. Madekwe was a regular on the drama series on ABC Revenge for two seasons. It was revealed in May 2013 that she'd leave the series after making an appearance in the very first episode of season three. She played Tituba in the show Salem from 2014 to. Madekwe wed her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg on June 2012. The two have collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl in the past, and Goldberg is also a part of the cast in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in a big family. She was born to Roy and Patty Leggat. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty as well her older siblings - Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's family, which is all sportsmen, played baseball during the summer and played hockey in the winter months. Ashley had never been able to walk. She was a dancer. At 2 and a 1/2 when she was a little older, she was a part of Baby Ballet. This was the beginning of Ashley's love for dancing. Ashley competed in tap, jazz and ballet in high divisions.
